A tiger reserve in Maharashtra district is Tadoba National Park. In India, there are fifty tiger reserves. Among the oldest and largest parks in the state, this one is the largest. March marks the beginning of the summer season and May marks the end. There is a lot of heat in the park during April and May. Dehydration is more likely to occur. The time of year is also ideal for spotting birds.

Winter begins in October and ends in February. During the winter, the climate is pleasant and the flora is abundant. During this season, it is easier to spot small and large mammals. This is the time of year when migration birds can be seen.

The park is closed during the rainy season. July to September is the rainy season. Heavy rainfall causes the terrain in the park to become slippery. Vehicles cannot enter the park due to this obstruction. During this time of year, it is harder to spot animals.

Best Season to Visit Tadoba National Park

In the summer, the park is at its best. During this season, it is very common to see tigers with cubs. Due to the breeding season, this is a good time to spot many rare birds. Make sure you drink enough water so that you do not dehydrate yourself.

Wildlife Safari in Tadoba National Park

Tadoba national park is primarily known for its safaris. In addition to open Gypsy safaris, the park offers guided bus safaris.

Wild digs, sloth bears, and other wildlife can be spotted on an open gypsy safari. Bookings are required in advance for jeep or gypsy safaris at the DFO office. You can book a spot in the park at the Navegoan gate. Online services cannot be accessed. Taxi stands nearby offer private jeep rentals.

Safari vehicles are allowed to pass through six gates in the park.

There are several gates leading into the park, but the oldest one is Moharli Gate. A safari round can accommodate nine vehicles. A safari round can be taken twice a day

In the mornings and evenings, only four vehicles can be admitted through the Kuswanda Gate. The number of vehicles entering per day totals eight.

During the day, 18 vehicles are permitted to pass through Kolara Gate.

There is a DFO office near the Navegaon gate, which is the main entrance. During the morning and evening, six vehicles can pass through the gate.

A gate located at the far end of the park is known as the Pangdi Gate. Each vehicle is only allowed through the gate four times a day.

A day can be passed through this gate by 12 vehicles.

Wildlife Safari Timings

Tuesdays are closed at the park. From June to October, the park is also closed. Every year, there is a different rainy season. For information on the start and end of the rainy season closure, contact the authorities.

Safaris take place during the summer from 5:30 to 7:30 in the morning. Safaris begin at 3 p.m. in the evening and end at 4:30 p.m. After 6:30 p.m., safari vehicles will no longer be permitted in the park.

Safaris start at 5 a.m. during early rainy season and end at 7 a.m. Afternoon safaris start at 3:30 pm and end at 5 pm. Tadoba national park is closed to vehicles after 7 p.m.

Winter trips begin at 6 a.m. and end at 8 a.m. Evening trips start at 2:30 pm and end at 4 pm.
